use Marshall mini-amp as preamp?
I wonder if I could use a Marshal MS 2 as a preamp in order to use amplitube 3 or guitar rig?

The only output on the MS-2 is headphone out, so I presume that’s what you are planning on using. Read the bottom paragraph for how to do that.
On that amp there are no other components between the speaker and the headphone jack, so it’s basically just a low power amp (about 1 watt) that doesn’t need to be cut back for headphones. Many people don’t understand what “line input” means. It means an input jack at a line level. “Line level” is a standard value that is generally 200 millivolts and is compatible with normal stereo equipment such as CD players, cassette decks, stereo receivers, etc. that generally use phono plugs. It is not considered directly compatible with microphones of any kind, Guitars, Guitar amp speaker outputs, HEADPHONE JACKS, or anything else that drives a speaker or HEADPHONE.
There is a way to plug a headphone output into a line input without blowing anything. Get one of those little inline volume controls meant for headphones (Best Buy, or any other large chain electronics store will have them – I generally stay away from Radio Shack, but in this case even they would probably have something usable), and you can use that to hold the otherwise way-too-loud signal from the headphone jack down to a level that will be reasonable for the line input. Good advice is to start at the lowest level then carefully adjust for sound quality.
